We received a message from the founder of the Rainforest Challenge Mr. Luis JA-LEE following the 2nd participation of the Lebanese 4x4 team Benzi-Team. They finished the event despite the very harsh conditions and floods that occured during the China-Sanya internation 4x4 challenge last september. We are happy that Benzi-Team represented Lebanon & LebanonOffRoad.com 2 times in the Far-East and we thank our readers for their support.
Here's the message:
"You can be proud of both Seliman khattar and Philippe Abboud, as they not only have that great off-road spirit in them, but they are also very perfect gentlemen. That's why they also won the Gentleman Award in this China-Sanya Int 4x4 Challenge. You can inform all your members. They are great ambassadors for Lebanon, from them we have a general picture of Lebanese people! Thanks to Soly and Philippe for being the FIRST Lebanese to be in a RFC style of event both in Malaysia (2007) and in China (2009). We welcome your Lebanese 4x4 fraternity anytime,
Lebanon is indeed a beautiful country with varieties,Thanks for the friendship to all our fans in Lebanon, your country is in my list of visits for sure. I am also sure that Lebanese off-road community is very exciting, friendly, vibrant and hospitable and best wishes for off-roading. Best regards,
Luis J.A.Wee"

The inaugural China-Sanya International 4x4 Challenge aka Enter The Dragon, turned out not only as record breaking event but also as the thriller of the year for Chinese 4x4.
It was the most punishing event for man and machine on extreme 4x4 challenge ever to take place in China. From 40 teams at the start to 33 after Prologue SS, to 22 at the forest SS, to 13 at the start of the Twilight Zone and only 2 teams came out of it. More typhoon category wind and rain coming to Hainan.
Rain storms of monsoon ferocity suddenly lashed across the region and transformed the adventure route from camp 1 to 3 into an epic struggle for man and machine. Every twist and turn, uphill and downhill became a driving and recovery nightmare. Out of 13 4x4s that entered, only 2 managed to get out to Camp 3, the rest to be recovered after the event.
The lebanese team benzi 4x4 ,sleiman khattar and his co-driver phillippe abboud ,ended the race in the 21 th position with 524 points , and 11 th in the electric winch category!
from the team of lebanonoffroad.com ,congratulations to the Lebanese team for this great achievement.
